Dr. Hamdan is a Lebanese-born academic scholar/author and is a recognized expert on Arab politics, gender politics and theory as well as mediation and international conflict.  She holds the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Political Science/International Relations with a minor in Public Administration and Public Policy from Wayne Sate University, Detroit. She has recently published her second book on the topic of Arab Mediation.  Dr. Hamdan’s book, Mediation in Contemporary Arab Conflicts (in Arabic, 2003), entails useful techniques and theories for reaching peaceful settlements in Middle East conflicts.
