Professor Kursman teaches courses in American
Government, Legislative Politics, International Relations, Political Behavior,
and Statistics. In 1986 she received the Oakland University Faculty Research
Fellowship to study the evolution and politics of the congressional subcommittee
system and has a manuscript on this topic currently submitted for publication.
Research interests are the impacts of congressional reform and the dynamics of
public policy change.
