Marjorie Sarbaugh-Thompson (Ph.D. University of
Michigan). Associate Professor. Public Administration, Public Policy, American
Politics.
Professor Sarbaugh-Thompson completed a Ph.D. in public
policy at the Institute for Public Policy Studies at the University of
Michigan in Fall 1992. Dr. Sarbaugh-Thompson publishes articles on public
policy and public organization including, "Organizational Mismatch in Urban
Labor Markets" in Social Science Quarterly, "Bargaining Over Educational
Policy: Who Represents the Community?" in the Journal of Collective
Negotiations in the Public Sector, and "Changes From Below: Intepreting
Bottom-Up Entrepreneurship Into a Program Development Framework" in American
Review of Public Administration. Her current research projects include
a study of the effects of term limits on the Michigan House of Representatives,
desicison making in Community Development Block Grants and an economic
analysis of providing personal care assistance to people with disabilities.
Professor Sarbaugh-Thompson teaches courses in the areas of organizational
theory, public policy and public administration.
