I've been advisor to eleven Ph.D's.   I'm currently directing a project to develop four on-line courses for the Master of Public Administration Program.

Administration:

I've been Director of the Graduate Program in Public Administration for five years.  Previously I served as departmental Graduate Adviser.  I have also managed a Data Laboratory from the year of my first appointment at Wayne State.

Research:

I've been author or coauthor of a number of journal articles and book chapters.  My research falls into a variety of areas:  Aging and Political Behavior, Biopolitics, and Public Policy.  The following are some of my publications.

   Term Limits

I am coauthor on several publications as a member of a research project on term limits in the Michigan Legislature.  Marjorie Sarbaugh-Thompson, a faculty member in the department,  is principal investigator of this project.  The following book was published recently.
